A reputable lender will initially qualify you and ask for a myriad of paperwork up front. This doesn’t mean that there won’t be additional requests for items because there will be, but the bulk of your application will be completed at the onset. A good lender will return phone calls, especially when things get bogged down. They won’t go MIA.
