Resulting from Operation Fashion Police, a Homeland Security-led probe in collaboration with the U.S. Attorney’s Office continues to target alleged large-scale money laundering by businesses in the Los Angeles garment district. A seizure notice was placed at this Pasadena estate. It’s a five-bedroom, nine-bath estate on an acre that was purchased in July 2013 for $7,800,000.

MLS remarks from 2013 purchase read:

This stunning Colonial Revival manor is in the heart of Pasadena’s Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens area. Built in 2005, this estate was designed by Giannetti Architects and built by Finton Construction. The refined architectural details and exquisite finishes showcase breathtaking craftsmanship and artistry. Deep crown moldings, lush window coverings, and rich mahogany floors are presented throughout most of the estate—the added touches of hand-painted wallpaper and rich paneling compliment dramatic wall sconces and crystal chandeliers. The estate offers five bedrooms suites including two master bathrooms, dressing rooms, a library – office, plus an additional office.

Additionally, there is a theater projection room with a wet bar, formal dining room, living room, family room, and gourmet kitchen with an eating area. French doors lead to a grand loggia overlooking the dramatic pool, spa, and grounds—a separate 1,437 square-foot gaming room and gym. The kitchen and bath are open to a barbecue area and fire pit.
