Marketing:

Explore an 8,900-square-foot, celebrity-owned grand estate. Constructed in 1931, this unique private compound, crafted by visionary architect Wallace Neff, occupies nearly an acre at the end of a prestigious Pasadena cul-de-sac. Initially, its rare Neff pedigree enthralls buyers. Then, massive designer iron gates open to a winding private driveway. Immaculate landscaping immediately showcases the property’s distinctive charm. Finally, a striking entrance featuring classic wood and wrought iron radiates historical allure.
Inside, an open great room and kitchen effortlessly host a hundred guests. Original soaring coffered ceilings, Spanish tiles, and hardwoods seamlessly blend with the outdoors for an endless flow. Meanwhile, a master chef’s kitchen with separate prep fulfills culinary dreams. A private office boasts a circular library and an elegant hand-painted rotunda. Outside, dining alfresco becomes a way of life. Relax in the serene, expansive private backyard, complete with a resort-sized pool and spa.

Additionally, BBQ, courtyard, and patio areas create a paradise for entertainers. A separate guesthouse, home theater, game room, and wine cellar complete this resort-like haven. Finally, the elegant master suite exudes luxury with a custom soaking tub and rainfall shower.
Previously, this home sold for $1,225,000 in June 1999.

I don’t know who the celebrity owner is; the previous title was held by JKL Investment Fund. In researching the title chain, the home appears to have been sold by James Lawton.
