While growing up in Glendale, I always dreamed of having my own swimming pool. Since my family didn’t have one, we often visited public pools instead. For example, Glendale’s Verdugo Park pool—now sadly gone—was a favorite. These outings created lasting summer memories. But if you don’t have the luxury of a pool at home—or know someone who does—don’t worry. Fortunately, Los Angeles and its surrounding areas offer a variety of public swimming pools.
