Inflation is rising. Gas prices remain high. The pandemic still lingers. Even so, there is still much to be grateful for. This Thanksgiving, in 2021, I will be spending time with my family. In fact, my mother is flying in to visit. I haven’t seen her in a while, so this feels especially meaningful. Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday. That’s because it isn’t about gifts or pressure. Instead, it’s simply about gratitude. Thanksgiving 2021 Real Estate Style: It’s about sharing good food, warm conversations, and time with those who matter most. Even with all the challenges this year, I feel thankful. After all, being together is what matters most.
My family is cooking our favorite side dishes and of course turkey and stuffing. Of course, we’re also making turkey and stuffing—it wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without them. Still, for me, it’s really all about the sides. That’s where the magic happens. First, there’s the creamed corn. It’s rich, sweet, and perfectly comforting. Then, we have mashed potatoes. Soft, buttery, and always topped with plenty of gravy. Next comes the macaroni and cheese. Warm, cheesy, and baked until golden on top. Even with the turkey, the sides are what I look forward to most.
