Each month Harb & Co. crunches the numbers. Here’s the La Canada Housing Update August 2020:
Last month the least expensive La Canada sale was a three-bedroom, two-bath, 1,092-square-foot home on Ahlin Dr., which sold for $817,500. The most expensive home in La Canada was a five bedroom, seven bath, 7,191, square foot home located at 4909 Oakwood Ave. which sold for $5,250,000.
Thirty-two La Canada homes closed last month. Notably, only one sale was under $1,000,000. On the other hand, eight homes sold for over $3,000,000. It’s been a while since that segment of the market bounced back. Interestingly, six luxury sales closed for less than the asking price. One, however, sold above asking before even hitting the MLS. This shows a shift in selling strategies.
La Canada Housing Update August 2020 Recap:
More homeowners are now choosing to sell off the market. COVID concerns play a significant role in this decision. Even with safety measures in place, many prefer limited showings. This trend reflects changing preferences in the current market. Masks are required, and most Listing Agents are requiring that buyers use hand sanitizer before entering their clients’ homes.
