As a La Canada real estate expert and La Canada resident, I love to crunch these numbers. Let’s dive into the La Canada Housing Stats for November 2021:
Last month, buyers closed on twenty-two homes in La Cañada. Of those, seventeen sold for over the asking price. Two matched the asking price, while only three sold below it. Notably, just three homes had price reductions before selling.
Meanwhile, Kris actively represented a motivated buyer. She submitted a strong offer for her clients on the home at 2113 Sunnybank Drive. However, the sellers didn’t even issue a counteroffer. The home ultimately sold for $251,000 over the asking price, showing just how competitive the market remains.
The least expensive home was a three-bedroom, two-bathroom, 1,737 square foot home located at 5108 Angeles Crest Hwy for $1,350,000. The most expensive sale was on a five-bedroom, eight-bedroom, 8,797-square-foot home located at 5350 Harter Ln. It sold for $7,000,000.
La Canada Housing Stats November 2021 – Price per square foot:
While the average price per square foot last month came in at $861.80, there was a wide range across individual sales. On the lower end, our luxury listing on Harter Lane sold for $683.20 per square foot—still a strong result for the market. In contrast, at the high end, a 1,711 square foot home on Dover sold for an impressive $1,534.19 per square foot.
I am completely amazed anew whenever I see 250000 over asking. Or something like it. Still seems crazy to me but it keeps happening
