I love spaghetti, and my grandmother made the best meatballs and spaghetti sauce. Fortunately, she taught me and three or four times a year, I prepare an enormous batch. I don’t love to cook, but I appreciate great food; it takes two days to make the meatballs and prepare the sauce (I cook this for about 6-8 hours).
Celebrate National Spaghetti Day this Saturday, January 4th, either at home or at one of my favorite Italian restaurants in and around Los Angeles:

3)   Drago in Downtown Los Angeles  – Downtown is closer than you think; I have another girlfriend who works Downtown, and this is another great spot for us to meet.

5)   Trattoria Amici at Glendale’s Americana at Brand
