Last month, thirty-four homes sold in La Canada. The La Canada housing market continues to thrive. The average price per square foot has increased, and the median sales price has also increased. The least expensive sale was a two-bedroom, two-bathroom, 1,404-square-foot home located at 4832 La Canada Blvd. It sold for $1,250,000. It was initially listed at $1,100,000. The most expensive home sale was a four-bedroom, five-bathroom, 4,951-square foot home located at 828 Flintridge Ave. It sold for $6,000,000 and was initially listed for $6,250,000.
The absorption rate is the lowest for the year. Price per square foot ranged from $665.69 – $1,610.07.
From Core Logic: According to CoreLogic, home prices across the U.S. rose sharply in March 2022. Compared to March 2021, prices were up by 20.9%. That’s a significant year-over-year increase, showing how much home values have grown over the past 12 months. Looking at just one month, home prices also increased by 3.3% from February to March 2022. This month-over-month jump shows that prices were still climbing quickly at the start of spring.
These increases include all types of sales, even distressed properties like foreclosures. Overall, it reflects strong demand and limited supply in many housing markets.
