My family begins our December birthdays, starting with my husband George’s on Saturday.  For those of you looking for something fun to do this weekend, here’s the list:

What: Santa’s Village has reopened
When: 10 AM – 6 PM, daily closed Christmas
Where: 28950 CA-18, Skyforest, California 92385

What: Vincent Van Gogh’s 1889 painting, “Bedroom,” on display
Where: Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena
When: Through March 6, 2017

What: Clara’s Holiday Party held prior to the matinee performances of the Nutcracker
Where: Pasadena Dance Theatre
When: 12:30 to 1:30, on December 17th and 18th, Nutcracker performance follows.

What: Yoga Expo, Taste local sustainable food and beverages, 150 classes and workshops
Where: Los Angeles Convention Center
When: December 17th

What: Candelight Tour of the Doctors House, an authentically restored 1888, Queen Anne Eastlake style home
Where: Doctors House at Brand Park in Northwest Glendale
When: December 17th, 6:30 – 8:30 PM

What: Peace on Earth, seasonal refreshments and caroling
Where: Adams Hills, Adams Square Mini-Park
When: December 18th, 7 PM – 8:30 PM

What: Join the BikeSGV team for the Cycling Santa’s Bike Train. Traverse an 8 mile route along bicycle-friendly and festively-lighted streets in South Pasadena, San Marino, and Alhambra, with a special stop for refreshments at The Cub House, and optional post-ride food/drink options.
Where: Meet at the South Pasadena Gold Line Station at Mission and Meridian at 4:30 PM. The ride lasts until 8:00 PM.
When: Saturday, December 17th

What: Holiday Open House, light refreshments, tour, caroling
Where: La Canada, at the Lanterman Historical Museum
When: Sunday, December 18th, 1-4 PM

What: The Rink in Downtown Burbank
When: December 15th – January 8th. 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily, extended to 11:30 PM on Friday and Saturday nights.

What: Shop Montrose: Horse drawn trolley, pony rides, strolling carolers, Christmas music and Santa Claus
When: Through December 25th
Saturdays:
Santa Claus – 12 PM – 3 PM
Free Horse Drawn Trolley Rides along Honolulu Avenue – 11 AM -2 PM
Free Pony Rides – 11 AM -3 PM
Sundays:
Santa Claus – 11 AM – 2 PM
Free Horse Drawn Trolley Rides along Honolulu Avenue – 11 AM – 2 PM
Montrose Harvest Market with Ponies & Petting Zoo – 9 AM – 2PM
Where: Honolulu Avenue, Montrose
