Sunday, May 5th, brings “Kids & Kritters Day” to the Montrose Shopping Park, 9:00am – 2:00pm Looking for a fun way to spend some quality time with the whole family? Join the Montrose Shopping Park for “Kids & Kritters Day”.  This fun-filled event features something for everyone and celebrates the diversity of the Crescenta-Canada Valley. Cornhole Tournament and Chili Cookoff – Saturday from 1-6 pm is a day of thrilling competition as teams go head-to-head in the ultimate cornhole showdown, aiming to claim the title of champions. Trees Talk Exhibition at Descanso Gardens through June 2, 10 am–4 pm daily. Trees Talk explores the hidden network that allows trees to communicate with one another. This beguiling exhibition showcases touchable and interactive elements, drawing on actual wood taken from oaks that tragically fell during a severe storm in 2023. Visitors can investigate acorn sprouts that show how roots develop as an oak tree grows and examine intriguing fungal entanglement. Trees Talk is open at the Sturt Haaga Gallery.
