Marketing for 1752 Riverside Dr. Glendale:

For the first time in nearly 38 years, this one-of-a-kind trophy property hits the market. Once owned by Oscar-nominated actor Ralph Bellamy, this quintessential California ranch compound sits in the heart of Glendale’s prized equestrian community. Right away, you’ll notice its unmatched charm. Not only does it offer exceptional amenities for horse enthusiasts, but it also caters to anyone craving space, privacy, and natural beauty. Ideally located adjacent to Griffith Park and its 60 miles of riding and hiking trails, the estate spans approximately 1.5 acres of flat, usable land.

As you approach, an iron entry gate and a 300-foot grandfathered privacy wall create a true sense of seclusion. Additionally, the wide motor court allows easy trailer access and leads to a spacious four-car garage. Beyond that, four covered stables provide top-tier accommodations for horses. Meanwhile, a large barn and tack storage room add convenience. Even more impressive, a sprawling 100’ by 90’ horse riding arena allows plenty of room for on-site exercise and training.

Inside, the 3,965 square foot main residence impresses at every turn. First, step into the grand oak-appointed living room. With a classic wood-burning fireplace, this space feels warm and inviting. Just off the living room, discover a generous Western-style bar—perfect for entertaining. Next, move into the formal dining room, which also boasts its own wood-burning fireplace. As a result, this space becomes ideal for festive gatherings and holiday meals. From there, continue into the kitchen. It features two vintage Western Holly ovens, along with hand-selected finishes that reflect timeless craftsmanship.

Beyond the kitchen, you’ll find a connected guest residence. Whether used as a home office, studio, or guest quarters, it offers flexibility and comfort. Throughout the property, only the highest quality materials were used, ensuring lasting value, beauty, and refinement. Step outside, and the estate continues to amaze. A private, park-like backyard creates a true oasis. Swim in the pool, unwind in the spa, or pick fruit from mature trees. Tall privacy hedges surround the property, offering complete tranquility and seclusion. Whether you’re hosting guests or enjoying a quiet evening, the setting feels like a personal retreat.

At the same time, the location couldn’t be more convenient. You’re just minutes from Glendale’s award-winning schools. Even better, you’re close to The Americana’s upscale shopping and dining, downtown LA, the major studios, and nearby destinations like Toluca Lake, Pasadena, La Cañada, and Silver Lake. Altogether, this is more than a home—it’s a rare legacy property.
