4254 Chevy Chase Dr La Canada – Most Expensive Home Sold June 2025

As a local realtor and one of La Canada’s top real estate agent, I stay current on the latest luxury home sales in the area. Last month, the most expensive home sold in La Canada was 4254 Chevy Chase Dr. It was listed at $4,495,000 and sold for $5,000,000 after just over a month on the market. It is worth noting that the buyers paid in cash. Kris and I had the pleasure of viewing this on the Broker’s Tour. The principal residence is really a tear-down for this beautiful lot and setting.

Marketing for 4254 Chevy Chase Dr  La Canada:

This beautiful La Canada Flintridge estate sits on a private 1.45-acre lot and showcases unique architecture and natural beauty. The property enters the market for the first time in over 50 years. Initially, the owners marketed it as an equestrian’s dream with space for horses, a training ring, and multiple corrals. It still holds equestrian zoning. The property includes a large corral and offers easy access to nearby riding trails. Today, the estate features a 2,980-square-foot residence built in 1969.

Inside, large fir beams and vaulted ceilings add warmth and character. Expansive windows and skylights fill the home with natural light, framing views of the San Gabriel Mountains and lush green lawns. Two bridges create separate entrances. The lower bridge brings you through a dramatic 15-foot door into a skylit formal entryway. The upper bridge opens into a bright galley kitchen with butcher block countertops, a commercial-grade antique Wolf stove, stainless appliances, a built-in bar, and panoramic views.

The formal dining room is connected to a grand living room, anchored by an original 56-inch adobe brick fireplace. Downstairs, the home offers four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The spacious primary suite features its own fireplace and a private patio overlooking the grounds. A large basement features a laundry area, a utility sink, and ample storage space.

Next to the main home, the original 989-square-foot guest house stands ready for visitors. Renovated in 2018, it showcases vaulted ceilings, a fireplace, butcher block counters, Thermador appliances, and commercial-grade laundry. Dual entrances open to a large wraparound patio perfect for relaxing or entertaining.

The lush grounds feature mature fruit trees, including oranges, lemons, figs, persimmons, apples, apricots, kumquats, mulberries, and pomegranates.  This rare opportunity blends history and heart in the foothills of La Canada Flintridge, where timeless beauty meets quiet magic.
