I have listed a 3 + 2 Spanish fixer with guest house on Ben Lomond in Glendale.
I have the Pasadena condo in escrow (another fixer). A lot of drama with that one: the buyer is a real estate agent and decided she was going to cancel because getting a loan was too much hassle – that was the gist of the email she sent me. I reminded her that according to the terms of the contract she isn’t entitled to have her deposit refunded because she is tired of the loan hassle.
In the beginning of the year, I sold a Glendale duplex and six months later found this seller his dream home in Burbank. They moved in a couple of weeks ago.
My colleague Lee Balkin sold my SFV listing, which is nothing but drama. This is a reverse mortgage foreclosure, once the owner dies, the loan needs to be repaid or the home sold in order to do so. The children of the deceased owner have moved back after the sheriff lock out. They are now living in the garage…..It’s a long story and we will see how it plays out.
