On Friday, November 28, Old Town Montrose hosts an evening of festive entertainment featuring strolling carolers, Santa Claus, and the annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony. Carolers begin at 5:30 PM, followed by the Tree Lighting at 6:15 PM.
Enchanted Forest of Light Through January 4, enjoy the magic from 5:30–10:00 pm at Descanso Gardens. Popular returning installations include an entire town of enchanting “stained-glass” houses by contemporary sculptor Tom Fruin; dazzling geometric light sculptures by HYBYCOZO; the vibrant Flower Power display along the Promenade; and exquisite, immersive lighting effects throughout the Ancient Forest. Wine tastings every weekend at Rosso Wine Shop. The general theme is “Try Three Wines for $12.” Begin with a white wine, and then move on to two reds. Typically, the middle wine is lighter to medium-bodied, followed by a heavier wine. New wines are poured each weekend. The 2025 Los Angeles Auto Show Returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center from November 21–30. Continuing all this week, The Holiday Ice Rink Pershing Square returns to DTLA for its 25th season.
General admission to the rink is $22, which includes skate rental. Locker rentals are available for $5, and skate helpers can be rented for $6. The rink operates through January 11, 2026, and features special programming such as DJ Spotlight Nights and Classical Sundays.
