As summer draws to a close, this Realtor becomes busier. I just closed Via Venado in La Canada’s Sagebrush neighborhood. As my client had lived in the home for twenty years and wasn’t entirely sure where she was moving, I structured the contract so that escrow closed 30 days after the buyer removed all contingencies in writing. Once the contingencies were removed, their earnest money deposit was at risk.

We’re working on a lifestyle video for my new listing at 555 Meadow Grove in La Cañada. It’s an exciting project. In one scene, kids splash and play in the pool. I can’t wait to see the final cut. A lifestyle video is more than just a home tour. Instead of focusing only on features, it highlights how life could feel at home. These short, cinematic videos combine stunning visuals with everyday moments. They show people enjoying the space—relaxing, entertaining, and living. For example, they might include dinner parties in the backyard, cozy mornings in the kitchen, or walks to nearby parks.
The goal is to create emotion. Buyers don’t just see the house—they imagine themselves living there. Professional editing, music, and storytelling make these videos powerful. They turn listings into experiences. Although common in luxury real estate, lifestyle videos work for any home. They help properties stand out and connect with buyers on a deeper level.
I am busy prepping 5081 Fallhaven in La, Canada, to come to market in the next couple of weeks. I just listed a Sierra Madre condo. The living and dining rooms are being painted a more neutral color. My gardener will be cleaning up the two outdoor patios. I met a lovely La Crescenta couple last week who are interviewing real estate agents and hope to be the one they hire. Wish me luck!
