If you have not tried Montrose’s new restaurant C’est La Vie, you should. Their (somewhat) limited menu ensures that each dish is outstanding. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert… you won’t be disappointed. And their cappuccinos are the best I have had. While all of the desserts are amazing, the olive oil cake is out of this world.
What: On Saturday, Oct. 1, the 10th annual Los Angeles Chocolate Salon returns to the Pasadena Convention Center. This will be the FINAL Chocolate Salon and they’ll be sending off the event with some of the best chocolatiers and confectioners in the business. Guests can enjoy chocolate tastings, demonstrations, chef talks and author interviews.

What: Santa Anita’s Oktoberfest fun will feature German beer, food, and music, all trackside. Guests can also partake in a variety of fun activities and competitions including stein holding, corn toss and a costume contest. Traditional German music will be provided by the Bavarian Wunderband.
What: Explore Descanso Gardens from the ground up with your youngsters ages 2 to 5. On the first Saturday of the month, Little Explorers use their senses to discover the natural world through hands-on activities and crafts. No registration required.
