This Italian Revival estate sits in the Huntington Library District. Marston & Mayberry designed it in 1928. Since then, thoughtful updates have modernized the home. Yet, original craftsmanship still shines throughout. Start at the entry courtyard. A limestone fountain from France anchors the space. Step through the front door into a formal foyer. Dramatic sconces and hidden closets line the entry. From there, move into a grand living room. A stone fireplace takes center stage. French doors on both sides open to a bougainvillea-covered patio.

Next, explore the library. Walnut bookshelves wrap the room. An antique map of Italy is displayed on the ceiling. Then, head to the formal dining room. It features arched built-ins and flows directly into a large butler’s pantry. The kitchen sits at the heart of the home. It includes a marble island, limestone counters, and an imported limestone hood. A Wolf range, Sub-Zero fridge, and walk-in pantry complete the space. An informal dining area adds comfort. Downstairs, you’ll find a 2,400-bottle wine cellar.

Just off the kitchen, the family room invites relaxation and comfort. Meanwhile, a long gallery hallway connects the main living spaces. Along this gallery, four sets of Palladian doors open to the courtyard, effortlessly creating seamless indoor-outdoor living.

Upstairs, the main suite provides both privacy and luxury. It features a comfortable sitting area, a spacious walk-in closet, and a spa-like bathroom. In addition, marble-topped vanities and a freestanding tub elevate the space. Furthermore, each of the four additional bedrooms includes its own en-suite bathroom. One currently functions as an office, offering flexibility. Finally, a second office and a well-appointed laundry room complete the upper level.

Outside, the courtyard immediately offers multiple gathering spaces for both relaxation and entertaining. A fountain, built-in BBQ, and several seating areas make it ideal for hosting guests. Beyond, a manicured lawn draws the eye toward a sparkling pool, perfect for warm Pasadena days. Additionally, an outdoor fireplace adds both charm and warmth, extending the outdoor season. Just past the pool, the guest house provides even more flexibility. It includes a vaulted living space, a kitchenette, a full bath, and two private patios. As a result, it functions beautifully as either a guest retreat or a stylish pool house.

Moreover, above the three-car garage, a 900-square-foot gym with a half bath adds valuable bonus space.

Altogether, this estate seamlessly blends history, luxury, and location. It stands as a rare Pasadena treasure—elegant, updated, and truly ready to enjoy.
