La Canada Housing Market July 2021

Let’s dive into the La Canada housing market for July 2021.

La Canada Housing Market July 2021

Last month, July 2021, twenty-six homes were sold. La Canada’s housing demand is high, and supply is low. Every La Canada home sale was over one million dollars. More than half sold for over two million. Seventeen of the twenty-six homes sold over the list price. Three at the asking and six less than the asking price. Only two La Canada homes had price reductions before selling.

The least expensive home sold was a three-bedroom, two-bathroom, 1,500-square-foot home located at 1616 Orange Tree Lane for $1,070,000. The most expensive home sale was a seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom, 6,610-square-foot home at 4229 Oakwood Ave. It sold for $5,900,000.

From personal experience, we know how hot the La Canada Housing market is! Each of our La Canada listings sold over their asking price.  Our fixer at 4715 Palm Drive sold quickly, and our La Canada view home at 2204 Fairhurst Ave. also did.

“The pandemic sparked an increase in buyer desire for lower density neighborhoods and more living space — inside and outside their home. Communities with single-family detached houses fill this need. Detached homes had the highest annual growth in June since the inception of the CoreLogic Home Price Index in 1976.”
