I keep up to date on the La Canada real estate market to properly guide my La Canada clients. Now, let’s break down the numbers for May 2026. Fifteen homes closed escrow last month—eleven homes sold above the asking price, one at asking, and three sold for less.
A four-bedroom, three-bathroom home at 752 Galaxy Heights Drive sold for $747.21 per square foot. A three-bedroom, three-bathroom home at 4019 Forest Hill Drive sold for a remarkable $1,351.78 per square foot.
The least expensive home sold in La Canada was a two-bedroom, two-bathroom home located at 1634 Orange Tree Lane. It was initially listed for $1,195,000 and sold for $1,300,000. The most expensive home sold last month was a five-bedroom, five-bathroom home at 4400 Oakwood Ave. The sellers initially listed this property for $6,875,000 and sold it for $6,960,000.

Overall, La Canada’s housing market stays tight, segmented, and competitive. Sellers who price strategically and present turnkey homes continue to achieve multiple offers, while buyers must act quickly and decisively to secure desirable properties.
